About who needs care: My father is recovering from a stem cell transplant he received to treat acute myeloid leukemia. He has some blood pressure issues and limited mobility but is in great spirits. He uses a walker to get around the house but needs help with basic ADLs like cooking, taking medicines, and showering. My mother is his primary caregiver, and we need of someone who can come several days a week to give her some relief. About the care needs: Reliable, flexible caregiver with experience in cancer care and fall risk. My dad has limited independent mobility but needs eyes on him due to balance issues. Caregiver must be sensitive/respectful of his highly immunocompromised state. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
