About the job
Our spicy handsome father is a character. As a family we are learning to navigate the new normal and progression around his dementia. Even with his diagnosis he is just as charming and sweet as ever. Although he definitely has his stubborn streaks and can get cranky, he loves his family, good company and sharing meals and stories of his accomplishments. He know longer drives and slowly having small freedoms taken away to keep him safe. Our main concern is keeping him safe as he is quite active and agile. We have a lovely caregiver helping the last year who is very hands on. Arts and crafts are fun for my dad as he's got a artsy eclectic side. Loves his plants. Healthy meal prep. Medication distribution. Light house cleaning. Occasional outing to change up the scenery. Good listener and patience. Dad is very special and we look forward to having an additional caregiver to brighten his day as he will yours:) Breakfast. Play in Garden. Tinker in garage. Prepare nutritional lunch, watch a little TV listen to music, more gardening, go to plant store, senior center, hardware store. Dad loves to go up the street to the golf range and hit a few balls. Loves to eat and be outside. Loves people and tells many stories. Lives on the lake so fishing off the dick supervised is nice. Prepare dinner and snack for later. Antiques. Gardening. Classic cars. Golf. Mariners. Music. Eating. Sharing meals. Taking drives. Experience with Dementia. Dad is in mid stages. CPR is always a plus. Any nursing is helpful. Easy access off Yelm Highway. No pets.
