About who needs care: 1. I have muscular dystrophy and I use an electric wheelchair. My care attendant will be required to use the Hoyer lift in the morning to get me out of bed, assist me with washing up and dressing me. When I am in my wheelchair, feeding me breakfast and afterwards assisting me to get to my computer and logging on for work at 7:45 a.m. 5:15 p.m. They would return at 6 p.m. when I am off from work and staying until 9 p.m. in order to put me in the bed. 2. My hobbies and interests are watching all types of sporting events on TV and I am a sci-fi nerd like watching Star Trek and Marvel movies. 3. The above structure is how I would like to structure my day. About the care needs: 1. The ideal caregiver would know English very well, so she can be any background or nationality. She must be a very easy going, down-home, sort of a girl. 2. There are no specialize skills other than knowing how to use a Hoyer lift and being okay with lifting at least 220 pounds (my weight) 3. The specific skills are not important however, she must match my skills and interest and be a very easy going and down-home person who is willing to listen and have a caring spirit, a caring heart and love people Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
