About who needs care: My mom has Alzheimers and diabetes . Her husband lives with her but has to leave to care for his son. She is very pleasant and loves to talk if someone is there. My main objective is to give her companionship and to get her moving. She doesn't remember if she has eaten and will eat junk when she gets hungry. Small healthy snacks are best for her. Meal prep would be great. She likes to read and work puzzles. She can shower herself but needs reminded to do it. About the care needs: We need someone who is patient and understands Alzheimers. My mom is very sweet but will repeat herself a lot. She can take her medicine but needs someone to watch and make sure she actually does it. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
