I'm looking for hands-on care for my father in his 80s with dementia and Parkinson's. Medication management is required. Some light tidying up is involved. Some help needed with bathing but is not required daily. Responsibilities include feeding, assistance with getting to the restroom as he is not mobile on his own and is considered a fall risk, and diaper changes. Seeking someone to handle meal preparation. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. My father enjoys simple activities like folding small towels of differing colors and sorting them into the same-colored stacks. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker, comfortable with pets and CPR / first-aid trained but is not required. Experience in caring for a person with dementia is a must and experience with Parkinson's is a plus.
