About who needs care: Hip repair surgery 3 weeks ago Chronic back pain Anxiety from pain Feels lightheaded when getting up Legally blind no hobbies now TV movies AM - Bathroom toilet with front wheel walker. Moves slow due to surgery GET Jim up to to dress for the day. He needs to dress himself with tool aids. May need a little help. He doesn't see colors so may help pick clothes out to wear. Stay close with him to walk to kitchen table. Make him a breakfast clean up and he will probably need to go back to bed until he feels good enough to go to TV room. He does have TV in bedroom. Make sure he has pee bottle clean and near him to use when alone. Make sure he has fresh water to drink on his bed table, kleenex, his phone close and anything else he may need by him. He may want to have breakfast in bed sitting up. Watch him close because he has passed out before. Left Hip repaired very painful. Make sure to write notes of how he is doing. Walking sitting eating did he have a bowel movement. If laundry is in washer or dryer or needs folding please note for next caregiver. All important. Homehealth will come twice a week for showers. Physical therapy will come to work with him. Occupational therapy will come to work with him also. Not sure of times yet. Check if he needs laundry done once a week if time while he is in the bathroom or eating. Don't have that schedule yet. He comes home from hospital Wednesday 6/18/25. Not sure about the lunch period right now. He has a roommate that may fix him a meal. Not sure yet. He is not the caregiver. He is 65. PM- may have to fix a dinner or heat up and microwave. That is up in the air right now. Food... Bathroom help maybe. He needs to use his front wheel walker to get around. Just stay close by. Get him situated and ready for bed and make sure he has supplied pee bottle etc near by. He will charge cell phone every evening. He stays awake until about midnight, but caregiver can leave after he is ready to be in bed for the night. Please write in log book what he had for dinner. How he is feeling. If he needs anything If any problems and good things too. Check oxygen /blood pressure Make sure he takes his Medications at dinner time. About the care needs: Have Patients and caring because he will be slow moving and doesn't see well. Friendly of course dependable. Skills- just be close while he gets up and uses walker. Need to tell him who you are when you get there. No medical special skills at this time. Just needs some help with food, drink, bathroom, dressing, getting him things he needs. Picking clothes out for him to wear. Getting in and out of bed. He should do that himself if he can. Make sure he takes his medications. Just stay close. No hobbies Best to just be positive. He is in pain so Usually listens to TV He is a good person and has lots of life stories. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
