My mother needs help and supervision with meals getting upstairs/downstairs, changing, preparing for appointments, reminders to take medication, etc. She is able to walk and is coherent and communicative but needs general support with daily functions. She's able to bathe on her own but may need help getting dressed and preparing for her day. My father is home throughout the day and both will benefit from having extra help in the house to assist my mother. Other tasks may include cooking, cleaning, laundry, organizing, scheduling appointments, etc. We are thinking 3x a week and the role could expand to 5 days a week over time. My parents speak English & Spanish, they are non-smokers and do not have pets. Mornings start around 9am, taking blood pressure, mornings meds and lite breakfast prior to bathing and getting ready for the day. My parents do chores around the house and then head out for errands or neighborhood walks. They spend time talking with with friends by phone, on the internet, reading or watching TV. They enjoy gardening and organizational projects around the house. Patience is very important for this role. Someone who speaks English and speaks Spanish is a plus but not required. Experience caring for seniors and compassion for helping others. Yes, street parking is very easy here. The home is a short walk from the bus stop if public transport is required. None
