Seeking care for my grandmother in her 80s. Services needed: bathing / dressing, feeding, meal preparation, mobility assistance, light housekeeping. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my grandmother: wheelchair and hospital bed. She has dementia, diabetes, terminal heart condition, and other conditions. She is quite stubborn and insists she doesn't need help but she falls when trying to move from bed to wheelchair by herself, or to the mobile toilet. She wears adult diapers full time. She needs someone to prepare her meals, help her ambulate between chair/ bed, do the dishes and clean up kitchen, diaper changes and/or toilet and cleaning out portable toilet. Other light housekeeping duties like picking up, vacuuming, sweeping, or dusting, and washing her clothes . She is on hospice and the nurses come regularly to ensure she is taking medications properly. I'm looking for someone who is patient, firm, strong, bilingual. She should be strong enough to fully support my grandmothers weight of 150 lbs, standing 4'11 in height. If she speaks Spanish that's a plus. She should have thick skin and not be easily intimidated- as this house can be quite chaotic between my grandmother's stubbornness, and the conflicting ideas of care between her two adult sons that reside in the home.
