About the job

About who needs care: I live alone in the house in which I was born. I am a retired research scientist. I was born in Seattle but worked before retirement in Albuquerque, NM. I retired early to be the caregiver for my mother in her 90s. My hobbies before my medical problems included kayaking, scuba diving, skiing, traveling and biking. I enjoy reading, listening to classical and jazz music and attending stage plays. I am currently rehabilitating from a mini-stroke. I do my physical therapy in the morning and evenings in between meal preparations and household chores. About the care needs: I am an introvert but enjoy conversations around a wide range of topics. Specialized skills: meal preparation featuring low salt, low fat diet for people like myself with atherosclerosis. Hobbies/Interests: The musical arts, sports like tennis or skiing, Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
