About who needs care: relocating to VA to live with son and daughter in law. household is smoking and pet friendly. mom, age 94, limited mobility, wears a catheter full time, uses a transfer chair and/or a walker, her memory is struggling. in the last 6 months she has had serious falls. ideally a caregiver will clean her room, prepare food, do her laundry and give her a shower. Also, she loves outings, whether on the porch or taking a ride. About the care needs: mom loves to chit chat, someone friendly. she does need some memory care and someone who can empty a catheter when needed. her hearing is limited to one ear and she wears a hearing aide in the "good" ear. she doesnt 'have any hobbies or interests Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
