About the job

Looking for an attendant and companion for a 76-year-old with special needs and controlled epilepsy. Communication can be an issue but family is willing to help out. The individual needs assistance with activities of daily life including bathing, toileting, preparing and supervising meals and getting out in the community to do things such as shopping and other activities. The hours would be 06:30 to 8 a.m. and the. 3:00 to 9:30 Monday through Friday. On the weekends hours usually are 8-3 p.m. CPR certification preferred since individual has breakthrough seizures. About the care needs: An individual who is patient, enjoys puzzles and who can be flexible because his transportation to day program can vary. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping and laundry, companionship.
