About the job

I need a live-in home care provider for my father in his 70s. RN or NP preferred. My father has a very large, open wound on his belly with an active fistula that needs to be cleaned and dressed 3-4 times per day and any time it leaks. When it leaks he needs bedding change and a bed bath. My mom and some of their kids are close and can help at times. He is on TPN (IV nutrition) and IV fluids (and will be at home) so he's not getting anything but a small amount of fistula output. He also has an ileostomy 2 inches from the wound that needs to be changed every 2 days or if it leaks. He has leukemia and is coming home from the hospital in a few days on palliative care but needs MUCH more care than that offers. The wound is the main issue. They can afford it. Large, comfortable home with lots of space. He will be in a hospital bed.
