About the job

About who needs care: Stroke with left sided weakness. Ambulatory with a cane. She had a stroke during a brain anuerysm surgery two years ago. She started having seizures that are treated with medication. She is seizure-free but deals with fatigue from medication side-effects. Needs assistance with am care (3 hours, 8:30-11:30am) and pm care (3 hours, 6-9pm), including hygiene and dressing and serving simple meals. She is coming from California. She will live with parents possibly 3 months. She likes card games and tv. She will have PT and OT come in Mon-Fri between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. About the care needs: Someone with a sense of humor. Client is funny and loves joking. Needs someone to encourage independence as much as possible. Otherwise, standby assist for safety. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
