About the job

About who needs care: Dementia, Heart condition. On hospice DNR in effect wanting to keep dad at home with mom. Deaf and blind. But is mobile but a fall risk. Had a mild heart attack and mom had broken leg can not complete his care. He also suffers from Sundowners. About the care needs: Dad is nonverbal, he can speak but refuses to, very bad ( nearly) blind condition hearing is at 10 percent or less given on vocal range. Needs someone who can guide him to table to eat, He has sundowners and paces during the night from bed to couch, likes to snack in middle of night also. He has been having accident recently last week so we are transitioning to pullups. can dress himself but his strength is very low can not open a bottle cap to drink water must be opened for him. (seal Broke). He fights bathing . Need someone to do his nails and help with hygene. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
