About the job

About who needs care: She has spinal stenosis which makes her legs go numb when standing for too long. She uses a walker and must take frequent sitting breaks. She has also lost some of her vision and can no longer drive. I am looking for someone to come in to help with everyday tasks, errands and general companionship. She is currently living in an Independent Living Senior Community. About the care needs: Our ideal caregiver is someone who is patient, as some tasks can take a while for my mom to do. She must be a calming presence as my mom is anxious and they must enjoy chatting/making conversation. Ideally, we would prefer a woman. They must have a driver's license and their own transportation. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
