About the job

Looking for a kind, patient and loving caretaker for our mother who has Alzheimer's disease and resides in a memory care facility. Someone who understands the disease and knows how to approach the difficulties of caring for a dementia patient would be ideal. We need someone who can go on a few weeknight evenings and at times on weekend days. Tasks would include toileting, ensuring mom eats a good dinner, takes her medicine and getting her ready for bed. This is a part time position on days when her two daughters are unable to go in. The schedule would therefore be variable but main hours would be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weeknights.
