About the job

About who needs care: My mother is 78 years old and has been diagnosed with mild dementia and bipolar disorder. She also has an ostomy from a recent surgery for colon cancer and she has Stage 3 kidney disease. She recently moved in with our family and I am looking for part time nursing and company since my wife and I both work. More importantly, I am also looking for someone who can provide over night assistance when my wife and I go away. About the care needs: Would need someone to make sure she takes her medicine and who can change a colostomy bag and wafer. My mother is able to dress, bathe and feed herself and does not have any mobility issues. She does get agitated easily due to her dementia and bipolar. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
