About the job

About who needs care: Our mother has vascular dementia + alzheimers and lives in a memory care facility near my sister's home. We are looking for someone who is fun and upbeat (she's relatively active for her condition,) to spend time with our mother, help out and take her on mini-adventures. She does have 'accidents' on occasion and the caretaker must be comfortable with managing these issues and general dementia. She is also very sweet and a lot of fun. About the care needs: Our ideal caregiver is fun, upbeat and enjoys being silly, and must be comfortable around dementia patients. For some reason or other mother has done very well with eastern european and latina women. She likes being taken to lunch, the movies, to the park, zoo, etc. She is active for her condition. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
