Seeking hands-on care giver to help my dad, who is suffering from ALS. He retired as Captain of Detectives in CO. He is the best person I know. A year ago (in CO) he was shoveling snow for all his neighbors! ALS has hit hard and fast. He is 5'10, 150 lbs and shrinking. His arms/hands do not work well but he can still walk (for now). My mom is a force of nature, retired respiratory therapist, and hard worker. Their home is pristine. Their dog is adorable. My family lives in same neighborhood. Pay will depend on level of experience and education. Some medical experience and training is required. Experience with senior care, and ALS specifically, is preferred. Need assistance with showers, dressing, getting around, eating, etc. in morning and same in afternoon. Must be a non-smoker, dog LOVER, CPR/first-aid trained, responsible, and neat.
