I need senior care provider must have experience with dementia/Alzheimer's. I am looking for: Medication Prompting, help staying physically active, Meal Preparation, Companionship. This job is to provide extra help for an established caregiver while they go on errands. Senior man lives at home with family and has stage 5 dementia. Most of the time very pleasant and easy to get along with. Can get agitated when communication breaks down. This is where your skill is needed to deescalate the issue. Communication can be difficult due to his lack of speaking capability from a laryngectomy. He does love to talk and tell stories, lip reading skills will come to you. Physically he can do most things on his own, however can be a fall risk due to instability. We can work around your schedule. Looking for bi-monthly weekend and Friday evenings.
