I am currently teaching third grade. This is my second year teaching. I graduated from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. I have tutored a range of students in math and reading. My tutoring has been mostly in the elementary grades, however, I am qualified to help any student in need. Tutoring will be a time where you can get some one-on-one help. With practice and individual instruction, I am sure to get you where you need to be. It is crucial that we work together for you to gain a better understanding of your content. My goal is not just to complete homework, but to prepare you with a better understanding that can flow into your class work. I go above and beyond for my students in the classroom and am looking forward to doing the same for you. I take work very seriously, but I also think learning can be FUN! With my hard work and yours, I think we can achieve academical goals together. Please contact me if you are looking to better your understanding of what you are learn

I am a former elementary school teacher and a mother of four children, ages 10 - 29. I taught 2nd and 3rd grades in the Columbus City Schools for four years. I currently homeschool our three youngest children who are 10, 15, and 17. As a homeschool parent, I teach all of the subjects, and can tutor children in 1st - 5th grades in math, reading, writing, handwriting, history, geography, etc. I can also teach children about gardening, canning, cooking, business skills, household skills, classic literature, science, meditation and mindfulness, and much more. My goal is to excite children about learning and life.

It has been my passion to be a teacher since an early age. When I was in high school I helped young kids read and write at the local library. During some of my time in college, I volunteered to help two students become better readers through Big Sister, Little Sister. Now I am a first-grade teacher. Also, I am in graduate school pursuing a degree in Educational Therapy with a concentration in Exceptional Student Education (ESE). I have an associates degree in ESE and a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Upon request, I can send my resume. I am a teacher August - May so please contact me regarding my availability.

Hello! My name is Heather. I graduated college with my Bachelor's Degree in 2014 and went right back to school to obtain my Master's Degree which I will have very shortly. I have been working with children my entire life and have an ultimate passion to do so. I am currently an elementary school teacher and am looking for a part time tutoring position. I have tutored students before, whether it's with their homework, or in a specific area. I am most comfortable with elementary-aged children, though the subject does not matter. My experience includes positions at day camps, preschools, and substitute teaching. I enjoy doing all of them and would love to work with your children! Seeing their success in school will raise their confidence, motivation, and engagement. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me! I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Having trouble understanding what your learning in school? Give me a call! I have always been excellent at school. I have a solid 4. 0 GPA & am an Honors student. Now a days teachers move so fast in classrooms to make sure they teach every thing a student needs before the end of the school year, and most teachers say they will take time to explain the subjects, but they really do not. Elementary school is the foundation of learning. In elementary school you learn all the basics, but since it is the very beginning most children have trouble grasping the concept. I however, did not have trouble. I was very bright in elementary school! Middle school is usually where things get complicated for most students because instead of just writing 3 sentences for a paragraph, you have to write 5 & then 7 in high school. Same with math. It just gets into more intense as you progress. I am very good in just about every subject, especially math & reading! Please feel free to contact me!
