Part-time Math Tutoring Involving Elementary Math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry And Statistics.
I currently have no experience in tutoring, but I am looking for something part-time to assist in funding for college and I want something that I can enjoy. I am in downtown Portland very often and am willing to travel. Teaching others math is something I have always genuinely loved doing and I would like to help others so that they don't have to struggle so much. I have a wide range of math knowledge including computer science from courses taken at both Portland Community College and Portland State University. Classes I have taken include: Calculus 1 through 4, Applied Differential Equations, Applied Linear Algebra, Discrete Math, Physics (with Calculus), Programming Systems, Elementary Software Engineering, Computational Structures, and Algorithms & Complexity.

Part-time Math (Algebra I & II, Trigonometry) And Experienced Spanish Tutor W/ Flexible Schedule.
Hi! My name is Donna. I have always love Math and tutored my friends and classmates during sophomore to senior year in high school as I am the top of my classes (Algebra II & Trigonometry). I came from the Philippines and those are the only Math classes I had to take in high school here. I had experience in tutoring College Spanish I & II for 2 semesters and I also did well in my Spanish classes in high school. Currently, I am a nursing student at Loma Linda University graduating next year. That means I also have knowledge in Anatomy & Physiology. I like working with children and I also like sharing my knowledge. Thus, I either want to be a pediatric nurse or an instructor at the school of nursing or maybe both after I graduate. Hope to hear from you!

Experienced Tutor - Algebra I, II, Trigonometry, English, And Basic Thru Intermediate French
While I lived in the Indianapolis area during my freshman year of college, I was chosen to tutor both small and large groups of students in mathematics in subjects similar to algebra and trigonometry. This position was scholarship-awarded and paid my way through that semester of college. For the past 3 years, I have worked for the Educational Testing Service (which administers AP, SAT, GRE, and Praxis testing, among many others) to grade mathematics responses from students taking state testing in California, grades 6-8. I am also certified to grade science responses but have not yet done so. This grading typically occurs during the spring and summer months and is a great supplement to my time. However, my true passion lies in English. I am available to help proof and edit essays for any grade level, as I recently graduated with my Master s in English. I have been called upon to teach English 101 at BCTC in Lexington and am awaiting my spring semester teaching assignment.
