Tutor Pursuing Degree In Elementary Education With Special Education And ASL
I am a student at the University of South Alabama in the College of Education. I am 22 years old and a newly wed as of May 2014! Though we have no children of our own, I am most happy when I am able to help a child learn and grow in education. You child has a personal learning style and specific way that they understand and receive information. I want to give them the best activities and hands on learning strategies as possible to allow their growth to their maximum potential! I am in my fourth year of college and I have taken previously, as well as currently am in, classes that teach specifically on how to tutor students. This also means I have a state approved background check! I have worked, tutored, and aided students throughout many schools and homeschooling programs in Mobile. With in the past year I have tutored a 2nd grader in reading and writing, been a student aide for an 8th grader with special needs, and tutored a 7th grader in his homeschooling program, as well as all my class work and observations in the College of Education at South. I have a gift of connecting with children and teaching in a way they will understand. Every student learns differently and my goal is to tutor your child in a way that they learn best! I taught a class of about 20 3-year-olds for a semester including lesson planning. I was authority over a class of about 20 1st graders for a summer camp 2 summers ago. I have toured parts of the U. S. going into schools and presenting assemblies on global advocacy as well as going into the classrooms to teach on this topic. I have 4 years experience with special education and 3 years experience with American Sign Language. My greatest joy is helping to shape the minds of students, encouraging them with positive reinforcement, and helping them reach their fullest potential in every area.
