GED Tutor With Potential To Make You Pass And Get Your GED
I have taken a full year studying a number of issues related to the GED test. There are several reasons why people do this test. Regardless of these reasons, my point of focus is what the student wants to achieve, to have a better life. And therefore, my interest is in making sure that the student succeeds. Now that we are going in the computer based GED test, which from reliable sources is going to be tougher than the current 2002 version, my love is that whoever has not taken it yet or has not just completed this test to get their GED, please do so. I will work with you on those sections where you feel a problem especially mathematics, so that at the end of it you can get your GED. I have worked with institutions related to this test, worked with very many students who testify that whatever we went through helped them a great deal.

Tutoring For ESL And GED Students
I have taught English as a Second Language for more than 6 years. During that time, I developed the class curriculum as well as the materials used. In an effort to encourage English usage in the classroom, I created conversational and interactive games and activities to stimulate conversation between students from various (and diverse) countries. Getting students to feel comfortable using the English language is only one of my strengths in this area. Grammar, vocabulary and writing were also part of the classroom activities. Additionally, I worked with students who were working on their GED education while simultaneously learning English.

Former GED Teacher In Alternative Classrooms
Avg response < 2 hrs
I was a licensed teacher before I decided to retire from full-time teaching. The only reason I'm no longer licensed is because I chose not to renew it when I retired. I've had two careers in my adult life. I worked for several years in the legal recovery department at MCI WorldCom. After they declared bankruptcy, I moved on to work at FedEx Corporate in the same capacity for a few years. My second career was teaching. I taught in alternative classrooms, meaning I taught students with special needs, severe behavioral issues, and students who had fallen too far behind their grade level to continue learning in a traditional classroom setting. I was therefore tasked with teaching all subjects at all grade levels, including preparing students for their GED. I am not overly comfortable with tutoring math beyond Algebra or the most advanced Sciences, however. Writing, Literature, Social Studies, History, etc. are my specialties.

GED, K1-12 TUTOR
Avg response < 4 hrs
I am a volunteer tutor for Literacy Volunteers of Leon County where I tutor adult GED students. I am also a mentor for elementary and high school students which often involves assisting them in their academic studies. I graduated from The University of the West Indies Jamaica with a Bachelor of Science in Basic Medical Sciences-Anatomy with upper second class honors. I usually tutor individuals between the ages of 8-36. Depending on the age of the tutee, I try to incorporate different methods such as using animation for visual learners or objects/toys so a greater appreciation for the subject area can be garnered. There is nothing more rewarding than to see a student achieve their goals and I would be honored to be a part of their success story.
