About Niyonta

I don't have home tutoring experience. This would be my first time in this endeavor. I am very good at teaching and working with children and adolescents and do have a plethora of experience in education. I used to work at the Early Childhood Center at my college, and at Columbia University as a Grade 14 Assistant Research Scientist, where part of the work involved training high school graduates and college students in research methods and practice. I have volunteered as a GED tutor and personal counselor at Hour Children. I worked with previously incarcerated young mothers and helped them prepare for the GED as part of enabling them to reenter society. I have also volunteered at several free schools for marginalized and underprivileged children in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and taught English and Mathematics to children of grades 4, 7, and 8.
