My name is Ellie P and I am a Junior at the University of Miami, but I am originally from Charlotte, NC. I come from a family of 7 where I am the oldest of 5. I have grown up watching, babysitting, and taking care of my 4 younger brothers, as well as being my neighborhood's. I worked for multiple families every now and then, but I worked with one family consistently all throughout high school. This family has 2 children, one boy and one girl, and they were in Kindergarten and 2nd grade when I first started working for them. I would help them with homework and make sure they got all of their chores done first, and then we would ride bikes, watch movies, go to the pool, sing age appropriate karaoke, bake a fun treat, etc. I absolutely love working with kids and am a child at heart myself: a responsible one I promise! :) I like to create a fun and safe environment, but I also know when to be serious and responsible.

Ellie, is cheerful, responsible and reliable. My kids 13 and 11 have enjoyed having her sit for them for years. I always came home to a house in order, dishes clean and in dishwasher, and children asleep in their beds; exactly what I needed. And during the day she was able to appropriately entertain my children and on the few times she needed to drive them to activities she was punctual, safe and cautious getting my kids where they needed to be. Ellie is a joy to have in your home and with your children.

Outgoing Fun Tutor For Developmental Advancement From K-12

(1)
Hey! My name is Alejandro, I have a degree in Finance and a passion for helping students. I currently tutor at Lindamood-Bell, The Sunshine Method, and Study Owl with students ages 7-18. I love math but can tutor all subjects from Elementary school level to college. I'm easy-going and firmly believe that there are many ways of teaching/learning. Every child is different and my goal is to help my students see in themselves the potential that I see in them. Through positive reinforcement, engaging and fun activities, and intensive instruction, I believe that any child can develop the necessary mindset to succeed! I have a very flexible schedule and do both in-center as well as at-home tutoring. I think there are ways of enjoying the learning process and that some students just haven't discovered that yet. Most of the kids I tutor are falling behind in comparison to their classmates, and that's ok. I'm here to get us up to speed and back in a fun, learning environment!

Alejandro is my coworker at an intensive Learning Center for children of all ages. We work with every-day students and specialize in guiding children with learning disabilities to reach their full potential. Alejandro is great around kids with a goofy personality and knows how to get things done. It's a pleasure working with him and seeing the impact he has on his students.
