I taught preschool for 6 years, 1st grade 1 year and 2nd grade 2 years. I am creating a pod in my clean and organized home in Cutler Bay. I have my 3-year-old son and was planning to add 2 more students. I will be giving 1 on 1 time as well as small group. The hours are from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. I will be teaching circle time, prewriting skills, reading, math, art, Bible, Spanish and music. I have every thing I need to have a successful year! I I have a big backyard with a playground and a sandbox. They will have fun while learning. I would love to talk and/or meet with you to see if it's a good fit. I am CPR and First Aid certified also. Wishing you well! I look forward to hearing from you!

Melanie provided my family the peace of mind of knowing our child was in good hands. She helped us with some issues my son was facing at the time with speech. She was always creating exercises for us to do with him at home, this played a crucial part in his conquering his speech issues. She also prepped him for test and school curriculum. It worked out perfectly because she is a teacher also. Melanie was a blessing for our family and worth every penny for our son. Thank you so much Melanie and I am glad you have opened your house to others during this pandemic. You are great. Sincerely, the Cassano family.

Jess was superb! Not only she's excellent with virtual- distance learning, she's also great hands on! What I love about her the most is her creativity! Very flexible, even pet and baby friendly. Considerate, and goes above and beyond with safety. Flexible, as long as you communicate with her. I am locking her in for this whole year, because it's extremely rare to find someone as sincere, passionate, and committed as a tutor! Thank again for everything Jess!

Joyful Teacher

Avg response < 1 hrs
Favorite teacher of many High School students. Teaching History, Social Studies and English brought joy to me and my students looked forward to and enjoyed my classes. I still keep in touch with a lot of them on Social media and they will be willing to recommend me. When I moved to the United States I worked as a nanny/housekeeper and babysitter. Later I became a Health Educator working with people with HIV/AIDS and substance abuse issues. I later became a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. In the process I learned a lot about Biology, Anatomy, Health and Fitness. The true love of my life is teaching and I get along very well with people of all ages. I have taken my tutoring services online during these trying and challenging times. My students and I are quite pleased with the results. Join me online via video call conference for an exceptional learning experience!!

25 years ago, Ms. Necia was my high school Social Studies teacher. She taught me much more than the academics. She impressed upon a quiet shy teenager the importance of giving back, caring, showing empathy and celebrating differences. Sometimes teenage boys can be tough (it was an all boys high school) but she was always patient but firm, caring but pushing us to go beyond our comfort zone. Any family will be lucky to have such a caring, diligent and hardworking person like Ms. Necia to support them.
