In case you haven’t heard about National Night Out, I wanted to take a minute to tell you about this upcoming nation-wide event. With all of the recent crime we have been hearing on the news, it seems like this even is something that we need more than ever.
National Night Out is a community building event geared toward strengthening neighborhood spirit and community awareness. It’s a time to meet your local first responders including police offers, firefighters, and paramedics. The ultimate goal of NNO is to help foster thriving communities where people know their local police-community.
It is so important that young children and families get to not only know their neighbors but all members of their community including law-enforcement professionals. Take time this year on National Night Out to really engage all aspects of your community.
Many neighborhoods featuring cookouts, visits from local police and the sheriff, flashlight walks, contests and more to build that true sense of neighborhood and community.
