7 Toys to Spark Creativity in Children

Nowadays there is an abundance of toys, gadgets, and games out on the market for children, and it’s hard to know which toys are just fun and which can actually foster imagination and creativity. Today, we’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite toys and things you can do to help foster your child’s creativity.

Creative education is incredibly important for children as it helps them express themselves and find out what they’re good at. If you child can develop a creative side at an early age this will not only help with their future goals and aspirations, but provide an outlet for your child’s emotions and feelings. Sometimes a child just needs an activity or a project to channel their kid energy. Painting, drawing, or creating can be an outlet for them when they’re feeling a slew of emotions.

Check out this list of toys to spark creativity in children and be sure to add anything to the list that you’ve used with your family in the comments below.

One of the best ways to foster your child’s creativity is to give them a place to play, explore, and imagine. Don’t you remember being a kid and wanting to build forts, create magical worlds and test the limits of your imagination?  Check out this

Art Set

One of the easiest tools to help foster your child’s creativity is a pad of paper and a few tools to help your child draw, sketch and doodle. See what comes to their mind, discover the way that they see the world. You’ll be amazed at what your child creates and the interesting stories that they’ll tell with their art. Personal Library

Reading books, magazines, short stories and comics can all help boost your child’s creativity along with their writing skills. By exposing your child to a wide range of books they’ll learn sentence structure, the art of creating stories, and be able to use their imagination to make books come to life.

A Cardboard Box

One of the best things you could do with your child is grab a big, old cardboard box and simply create something with your child. Maybe its a rocket ship that takes them to the moon or maybe a pirate ship to invade foreign lands. Kids LOVE cardboard boxes and they can turn into anything and everything.

Box of Musical Instruments

Children love to make new sounds, combine the noises of different things and see what they create. Create a toy chest of musical instruments and rock out with your child, let them try new things, experiment and just create noise. See how your child responds to a

kit

like the one below and then expand their instrument collection.
