Caring for individuals with special needs have always intrigued me. I have personal and afar experience working with both children and adults. I understand how important it is to treat people within the special needs community with understanding, kindness, and respect. Being involved with their constant care and growth gives me a sense of accomplishment. No matter what their disability may be because it doesn't ever intimidate me. I have worked with various types of disabilities, but autism and down's syndrome are the two primary ones. I have also dedicated my time for special olympics every summer. I enjoy watching each individual cross the finish line. It enlightens me to make a difference in their lives by assisting each of them with daily living skills and personal goals in order to guide them towards independence. I look forward to making a difference rather big or small.
