I just started working for Kettle Moraine school district in the food prep department, working mid days. For six years, I have been caring for families in Wauwatosa. One family that had 3 boys, ages 13, 11, & 7, the two younger boy is with special needs. Another family with a girl that is now 12 and a boy who has autism, who is now 8 years old. I did before an after-school care and help out with line therapy for the boy. For a year prior to that, I cared for four boys, two of whom have special needs, diagnosed with a regressive neurological disorder. I have also worked with autism, Down syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Asperger's, and children with food allergies and more.

I had the pleasure of working with Teresa for more than year as she cared for my 4 boys two days a week "which included two special needs sons diagnosed with a regressive neurological disorder. Teresa did not hesitate to learn how to deal with the complex medical issues associated with that diagnosis, including performing duties related to oxygen use, tube feedings and medicines. Teresa has been able to very capably handle these complex duties while at the same time dealing with 2 other very active boys and helping to keep the household running smoothly. Teresa played with each of the boys in their own way and at their own level while at the same time making sure that their needs were met and discipline maintained. She was always willing to run errands and would take the boys on outings to the zoo or the library to provide a change of pace. Teresa's calm confidence and her capabilities have been instrumental in ensuring a working household and I have no hesitation in recommending her for another nanny/caregiver situation. Kelly G.
