I am currently in College studying to become an Occupational Therapist. I'm hoping that when I finish my degree I will go on to work with children and teens born with developmental disabilities. I have been working with a company now about 7 months, as a respite waiver worker. I have mainly worked with a child with down syndrome and a child with severe Autism. I grew up with a cousin who is severely autistic, so since a young age, I have been around it and know how to handle certain situations. I am very patient and responsible. I know that OT is the only thing I want to do, working with these teens/children would be great experience.
