I have been a LPN for 30 years and love working with people of all ages. I have always been attentive to those with special needs. I know they need a little more care, compassion and patience. I love children of all ages and have four grandchildren of my own. I also have mentally retarded cousins, and a handicapped sister whom I grew up with and maybe that is why I have an understanding of those who are different with special needs. I am certified in CPR/AED training. I had been a nanny for a 6-year-old boy for almost a year until Mom graduated from nursing school and Dad, who is in the ARMY received his new orders and they moved away. I recently have taken care of 3 children for a single Mom until she got married and they no longer have a need for a Nanny. I am a volunteer with the boy scouts, therefore a background check has been done and I have taken youth protection classes. I also volunteer at our church in the nursery and with the youth group.
