I am a hardworking, dependable college student who loves, and has extensive experience working with children. I am currently pre-med at Brandeis University, and my ideal career would be one in behavioral pediatrics. I have worked for the past five years at various child care locations, in addition to pursuing my education. While I have come across children with special needs in all the schools that I have worked at, I spent two years working at a district school specifically for children with special needs. At this school, I have had the pleasure of working with some amazing children with Cerebral Palsy. At Brandeis, I participate in a program where special needs children can come to Brandeis for the afternoon to participate in fun activities. This program is wonderful because it allows children the opportunity to hang out with other special needs kids their age, and because it gives parents the opportunity to have an afternoon off, all the while knowing that their kids are in a safe place.
