I am a certified ESE teacher with 14 years of experience working with children and young adults who have special needs. My experience includes, but is not limited to, classroom teaching for students with moderate to severe intellectual and physical disabilities, as well as autistic students, work as a paraprofessional within a center school for students with disabilities, in-home respite care, tutoring, and working as a head counselor caring for summer camp campers who were medically fragile or had various disabilities. My experience includes both daily living care, as well as positive behavior management, and teaching. I have a true passion for making a difference, whether big or small, in the lives of the children I work with. I don't believe in setting limits on a child because of a disability or a label, and I pride myself in being a positive connection for the children and families I have the privilege to work with.
