I took care of my aging parents before they passed. Dad was a diabetic who was bed-bound the last year of his life; Mom had emphysema and was on oxygen. I was briefly in nursing school, and while there, dealt with dementia, epilepsy, scabies, and more. I also worked for a year as a substitute teacher, and took a few special needs classes. I dealt with a blind student and several autistic students. I am presently taking a class in American Sign Language, but am not yet fluent.
