In all honesty, I have no professional experience or schooling for special needs care taking. The only experience I can offer is the last three years of my marriage. My husband was temporarily paralyzed from the waist down in a car accident. The reversal caused severe nerve damage. I became his sole care taker as he never worked again. Along with that came severe mental issues that I too worked with. Other than that I can offer my love, sensitivity, patience and passion to work with special needs children. I had a dream as a child. A dream to build a giant house that would house special needs babies and children whose parents had a difficult time doing 24 hrs a day. There are some of us who cannot deal with what God puts in front of us and others who can. I wanted to be that middle man who made it that much easier for mom and dad to "deal" with out giving up.
