After viewing Michele's profile and corresponding with her through Care.com, I had her come to my home for an interview. She seemed to be a good fit for our family and she was very interested and eager to start. I offered her the job. We spent quite a lot of time together and she was willing to get her CPR card recertified. But when I tried contacting her the following week, she disappeared. She never returned phone calls or e-mails. I'm very disappointed that she didn't have the common courtesy to follow-up with us. If she decided she wasn't interested in the position or found my son's needs to be too great, she should have simply told me. Instead I wasted a week trying to contact her and give her the benefit of the doubt because she had seemed so interested in the job. I consider that to be unprofessional and uncaring.
