I began working part-time in the care giving industry in 2011 and I immediately saw the value in it. My experience has consisted of working with mostly male clients with mild to severe mental retardation, Down's syndrome, and other disorders. I seek to provide unconditional care, respect and support to my clients, and to exercise forgiveness and understanding whenever necessary. Most of all, I seek to build trusting, friendly relationships with my clients, incorporating their priorities and interests into every activity. I enjoy getting to know my clients and giving them the best possible care I am able. My favorite aspect of care giving is that I am constantly learning, adapting, and improving. I enjoy going out to eat or to the movies, spending time outdoors in the summer, cooking/baking with clients and also working on projects with clients. In my personal life, going to church is a priority for me, and I have consistently taken clients to worship services of their home churches as well as they desired. Overall, I find great joy and fulfillment in working for clients of a variety of backgrounds/situations, and I strive to provide quality care based on respect and understanding.
