My name is Melinda and I am a Registered Nurse with valid GA license and healthcare provider BLS certification. I have extensive experience in Alzheimer's care as well as hospital experience treating adult and pediatric populations. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. For the past five years I have been the case manager and nursing supervisor for an Alzheimer's patient with several commodities (diabetes, CHF, renal insufficiency) providing medication management, nursing care plans, coordination of care with healthcare providers, activities of daily living, feeding, bathing, and supervising three additional shift nurses. I have seen this case through end of life and have gained an unbelievable appreciation for those wishing to remain within the comfort of their own home when battling a chronic disease. I have also been employed as a Medical/Surgical Charge Nurse providing care to all age groups in an acute care setting from newborns to seniors. In this capacity I have gained extensive experience in post surgical care, surgical rehabilitation, cardiac care, wound and ostomy care and disease management.
