I worked full-time with a very special little boy who was 2 when I accepted the position. I worked with him and his family for four years while attending college full-time as well. He has very rare neurological disorder and the progress he made in those four years was beyond the limitations doctors had put on him initially. I also attended a camp for special needs teens and young adults as a councilor from the my age of 15 to 21 during the summers. It was a truly rewarding experience and humbling as well.
