Throughout my life I have always been very much a part of the disability world. For instance, my little brother who has Autism and my aunt, who acts as a mother figure, is an Early Childhood Special Educator. Through my aunt, I have met an array of wonderful families in different situations. One of my most recent job was with a family of four children: three of which were 6-year-old triplets and one toddler. One of the triplets had multiple disabilities. With this family I would get the children off the bus, help cook dinner, clean, assist with homework, change diapers, bathe, and get ready for bed. I have also worked for families with children ranging from 6 months to 20 years old, and from typically developing to undiagnosed neurological and physical genetic disorders. As long as I am told what to do or how to assist, I am happy to help in any way possible.
