In my junior and senior year of high school, I worked with special needs students every Wednesday and it was the highlight of my week. I have had random volunteer experience with many ages and many different types of special needs since then. My mother, brother and I all have grown up with learning disabilities. And I have also helped with non-verbal adults. I am working towards being a child life specialist when I graduate college next may and have a passion and special place in my heart for any part of the spectrum of special needs. I would love to be able to help out a family who is looking for some help and loving care for their family member with special needs.
