I have a wide range teaching experiences in a variety of settings, for a variety of diverse populations and locations ranging from urban to rural, as well as, regular to cross categorical special education settings on a continuum of placements ranging from itinerant to as restrictive as residential placements. Over the last seven years I have become quite familiar with BCBA requirements, although not currently board certified, I do have training and knowledge of materials for Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Verbal Behaviour (VB) and other therapy programs for children with Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders. I have used PECs systems, alternative language systems and schedules and have familiarity with resources for children with ASD, LS and EI issues, in and out of the classroom. I have a strong background in language and communication disorders and always incorporated language development bolstering into regular lessons and curriculum materials, to improve student communication and skills in both special and regular education settings. I hold state, local and FBI clearances.
