I have provided care to children with diagnoses that include: Cornelia-Delange Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay, Respiratory Failure, Failure to thrive, Shaken Baby Syndrome. I am extremely good with special needs children, I am patient yet firm. They respond well to me and I respond by falling in love with them. These children bring out my best and I seem to do this for them as well. I understand the struggles that parents can face in finding suitable caregivers for special needs children. Many of my patients were nonverbal and could not voice needs which can make parents uncomfortable leaving them in the care of strangers for a much needed break. I am comfortable with Nanny cams or any type of surveillance that makes the parents comfortable. In your position, I would feel the same way.
