I have a broad array of experience caring for children and young adults, both in regular education and special education. I simply adore children. I worked in a school system for 10 years. Two years ago I decided to return to college and earn a degree. Because of that decision, I turned to home health. In the 10 years with the district, I held positions ranging from clinic assistant, special needs assistant, kindergarten assistant, before landing in the role as a positive behavior support paraprofessional. In that position I traveled around the district working with children who exhibited severe behaviors. I am a hard worker and use a variety of tools to encourage daily growth and development that is custom made for each individual. My strengths include reinforcing positive behaviors and demonstrating unconditional love. This creates a high level of trust in the child resulting in confidence and a strong desire to learn new things. My son recently purchased an iPad for me to add to my tool collection and children love it as a reward. Thank you for considering me to care for your child.
