Since entering graduate school for my Masters of Occupational Therapy, I completed over 100 volunteer hours within hospitals and within a "clubhouse" home. In the clubhouse, I interacted with individuals that had mental illnesses (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression). I assisted them in their activities of daily living as well as daily interactions of conversation, leisure time, and self-care. I also volunteered within a high school in their classroom for children with special needs(ASD, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, Down's syndrome). With this experience, I helped children with their homework, in class assignments, and normal interactions. I enjoy spending time with children with special needs.
