Hey, My name is Jessica. I am 23 years old soon to be 24 and I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina. I've worked with children with special needs as a special education teacher and have nannied for children ages infancy to age 8. I am expecting my own little one October 2016 and am hoping to find something where I can still work with children, which is my passion, while spending time with my family. My husband is a musician and we both play in our church worship team. I play the piano and sing and would love to teach beginner piano lessons as well as tutor. I love animals and caring for them which I did throughout college. My mother in law is German and because of her I have learned the art of house cleaning. This is me and I hope to get to know you.

Jessica has been part of our special education team this year. As a member of the team that participated in her interview and now coworker, I can say I have been impressed with Jessica from day one. She impressed me first with her enthusiasm and knowledge of core principles of a special educator. She had well developed ideas on behavior management, developing lessons and communication with parents. Jessica did not strike me as a new first year teacher. She is confident and knowledgeable, but open to learning from others. Having worked with Jessica for a year, I feel she is a definite asset to our team. She has a great style of teaching, new, innovative ideas and a surplus of energy. She has carried a full caseload all year and has handled the responsibilities like a professional. Jessica is very much a team player and the students love her style of teaching. She makes learning entertaining and exciting. Boring isn't in her repertoire. She creates songs and movements with math concepts, reads books that through visuals engage all learners and is very adept at handling/conducting an IEP meeting. I have taught with quite a few new teachers and supervised several. Jessica far exceeds my expectations. Having taught resource before, I can't say enough about how well I think she has handled the heavy workload and still been upbeat, energetic and enterprising in providing exciting, challenging lessons. I would welcome her on my team any day.
