About 15 years ago, a close friend of mine had a new born son, at that time no knew he would be diagnosed with autism just few years after birth. Since then, I have been a large influence on his life. In the winter of 2011, I became a volunteer ski instructor, working with all types of cognitive and physically challenged young people. I got so much pleasure from the population that I decided to relocate to California in hopes of making a career out of it. I am currently employed part time at an after school program where I work as a teacher mentoring autism, c. p., down syndrome, mental delay, and other cognitive and physical difference.
