I am the oldest of 4 siblings. I am comfortable around children. I have a stepmother that had in-home child care for 8 years with 11 children enrolled. I helped with crafts, activities, playing games, reading, feeding, cleaning, etc. I understand the importance of reading to/with children. I have history working in a special education school for children ages 6-22 as a severe paraeducator. I was employed at this school for almost 3 years. I currently work in an autism classroom as a paraeducator. I have history with working for a 13-year-old child with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, a seizure disorder, respiratory problems, and other medical conditions as well for over 2 years. I am trained with certain mechanics such as lifts, VNS devices, g-tubes, standers, peanut balls, sensory pressure, etc. I have plenty of experience with children who have autism, Down's syndrome, developmental delays, severe behaviors, and seizures. I am CPR/FA trained, and I am pro-act trained.
